Writing shouldn’t hurt
For many people, writing is uncomfortable, tiring — or even painful.
If you or your child live with hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, arthritis or joint instability, something as simple as holding a pen can become a daily struggle.
Fingers
- Grip too tightly
- Bend too far
Hands tire quickly.
And writing — something everyone has to do — becomes harder and harder.
A completely different kind of pen grip
Most pen grips try to correct finger position.
But they often make things worse — forcing the hand into unnatural positions or shifting the pen when pressure is applied.
This grip works differently.
It gently fills the space between the thumb and index finger and prevents the finger and thumb from bending backwards when holding a pen or pencil.
That small change:
- reduces the need to grip tightly
- improves hand stability
- encourages a more natural writing position
